As I was laying in bed this morning (still sick) I was thinking about how much I wanted to make this cute 4th of July cake with strawberries and whipped cream frosting. I was not feeling up to much of anything yet and then ended up having to take Jared to insta-care since he now also has Strep.When I got home from taking Jared the girls had put a cake in the oven and made this all on their own. They are my girls. I had not even told them that I wanted to make said cake which made the surprise all the more delightful.
I usually love this holiday and was a little sad to have missed it. Thank you girls for helping me to feel the spirit of the day!
